Sliding barn doors separated more private spaces, while load bearing walls were removed to open up the floor plan in more family oriented spaces. While beams were recessed into the ceiling, where they were visible they were enclosed in rustic wood casings.
The kitchen blended modernism with industrial style, with tin ceilings and simple, yet elegant lighting fixtures. Furniture was reimagined to suit this Art teacher’s aesthetic. The result was a fun home that reflected her style.
