About this project:

Luis had plans to provide his family a home worthy of the love they had given him. His vision was to expand and renovate a classic Hartford townhouse to fulfill the old-town charm that made Hartford so desirable.

" More than just design sensibilities, we had to plan for the future. "

We designed the roof to maximize solar exposure so that solar panels could be installed. This meant a full gut, with high quality finishes on every floor, plenty of open light, and communal spaces for the family to gather. At the same time, spaces were configured so that his teenagers had a place to retreat to, as well with the parents. The result was a complete rebuilding of the structure, with raised ceilings, architectural features, and the opportunity to expand in the future.
