About this project:

It’s always a challenge to blend modern style with traditional. This client, based out of Winsted, Connecticut was looking to have a space that was coordinated for entertaining; as a result, there needed to be blend of mid century modernism and New England vernacular style. What’s more, they needed the project to be amenable to potential buyers.

The result was a traditional treatment of architectural elements, contrasted with mid-century modern furniture. Bright colors of the furniture played counterpart to more subdued wall colors. The result was a projects that held two identities, but reminiscent of different times.
